Adults With Asperger, Real Empowerment (AWARE) is a non-clinical/non-medical support group for adults (over 22) who are medically or self-diagnosed with Asperger or High-functioning Autism. This group was started because of a lack of community based support for socially functioning adults who would benefit from conversing with other adults in a similar situation. If you are interested in a loosely structured outing to build a support network, join us and get ready for your first meetup.

This is a play group for anyone who has a child with autism and a sibling who does not...there are so many kids who have autism or special needs and not enough support for parents who have other children who do not have special needs. My daughter is six and loves her brother but would love to spend time with other children as well. This play group would support everyone but would not have the judgement that seems to follow autism. This group is about fun and not negativity. Please join with open …

Having a child with Aspergers is challenging and overwhelming. It is extremely beneficial to talk with others who can share your struggles and help you to realize you are not alone! This group is specifically for moms with Aspergers kids! The purpose is to learn, share, support and encourage each other.
Is your partner extremely logical, literal and/or routine-based? Does s/he have engrossing hobbies and flashes of focused brilliance and insight, but difficulties navigating social situations? These are some of the most common expressions of Aspergers. Whether he/she is formally diagnosed with Asperger's or not, forming a partnership with an individual who displays these traits can be challenging for a non-Aspie (neurotypical) partner. I started this group because I was looking for support for p …
